JOB SUMMARY:

Dear Grain is seeking one Full-time Dough Mixer with strong baking and mixing experience to join our bakery. We are looking for someone caring, passionate, and dynamic who is interested in committing themselves to the craft of making sourdough pastries.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a high volume production kitchen/food business
• Minimum 1 year experience in pastry production or Baking/Pastry
• Education from a recognized College/University (Preferred)
• Possess basic cooking and knife handling skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes
• Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken English
• Note that this position does not involve cake decorating

• Mixing and portioning large batches of dough with consistency and precision
• Scaling recipes accurately for pastries and batters
• Preparing and baking a range of sourdough-based pastries and loaf cakes
• Baking pastries, packaging wholesale orders
• Practice food safety and sanitation standards
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area
• Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies
• Reports to Kitchen Leader
