Description
We are seeking a mechanically inclined and safety-focused technician to provide high-level product maintenance, service, and repair for downhole tools. This role operates in both workshop and field environments, requiring a strong technical aptitude, efficient multi-tasking, and excellent communication skills. Schedule & Shift Details Shifts: Alternating schedules (7:00 AM – 5:00 PM OR 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM) Overtime: Potential for 1–2 hours of overtime per day On-Call: Every other weekend rotation Key Responsibilities Tool Service & Maintenance: Oversee the preparation, servicing, assembly, and completion of downhole tools strictly adhering to Service Quality procedures. Operations Support: Safely and efficiently operate shop equipment (including cranes, forklifts, etc.) and complete production demands set by management. Documentation: Develop, record, and maintain accurate, complete data for all service documentation in a timely manner. Collaboration: Maintain a clean, organized work environment as outlined by the shop supervisor; collaborate and communicate effectively with other departments and disciplines. Project Participation: Assist in action plans for new projects and perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications & Requirements Top Skills Needed Mechanical Aptitude: Must be highly mechanically inclined with previous experience working in a shop/workshop setting. Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required for cross-departmental interaction and accurate documentation. Work Ethic: Must be highly punctual, dependable, and strictly focused on safety protocols. Education & Experience High School Diploma or GED preferred. Applicable experience servicing relevant downhole or mechanical tools preferred. Sufficient training or experience to quickly become familiar with the operational characteristics of company products. Physical & Environmental Demands Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly. Comfortable working in a factory/shop environment which includes high noise levels, vibrations, fumes, dust, and odors. Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor settings under extreme temperature variations. Strict adherence to all Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality (HSEQ) requirements.
