Description

Working independently and under minimal direction, the Drafter/Designer uses AutoCAD equipment and software to prepare clear, complete, and accurate drawings of all facilities; conduct field verifications; and prepare working drawing backgrounds/details for construction projects and input per marked-up drawings. The position is responsible for maintaining all hardcopy drawing files, all CAD files, all emergency notebook drawings/information, and building square footage.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Ability to meet the public with tact and courtesy.
  • Ability to read and understand working drawings/blueprints. Solid knowledge of drafting standards.
  • Proficient in working with AutoCAD 2004-2015 and Architectural Desktop 3.3.
  • Math skills. Ability to do area and square footage calculations as well as percentages.
  • Organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
  • Good listening skills and ability to follow verbal communications and directions.
  • Good physical and mental health. Ability to dexterously climb ladders and climb onto roofs, inspect equipment rooms, walk sites and verify measurements.
  • Computer proficient in Windows, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and AutoCAD Architecture.
  • Ability to read, write and verbalize at a high level. Bilingual in Spanish/Chinese preferred.
