We are currently seeking a highly motivated and qualified candidate to fill the role of Drafter. This full-time, day shift position is in person and based in Mifflintown, PA, and offers an exciting opportunity to join our team and contribute to a culture built on quality, integrity, and teamwork. The Drafter is responsible for the production of bills of material, assembly of production packages, and other similar duties. Maintains procedures and processes that support core machines technologies. Take lead in coordinating nesting tasks with production schedules. Responsibilities Support the CARE values of the organization. Commit to producing a quality product for our customers. Be proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Microsoft Excel). Extensive knowledge of AutoCAD, architectural drafting, and possess mechanical intuition. Desirable knowledge of Microvellum software or similar cabinet software (i.e. Cabinet Vision, Cad Cam and/or Alpha Cam) to produce detailed and accurate manufacturing drawings from architectural plans and specifications. Read and understand architectural documents, including the ability to determine the millwork scope requirements. Other duties as assigned. Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business or related field preferred At least 1-2 years related experience. Proficient in Microsoft Office- especially Microsoft Excel Experience or willing to learn- Cabinet Vision, Cabinetware, and Microvellum. Good communication skills, both orally and in writing. Working Relationship Communication is required across all levels of the organization- executive team, other functional leaders, subordinates and production floor workers. The drafter works under the immediate supervision of the Department Supervisor. Physical Requirements Must be able to lift/move in excess of 50 lbs. at a time Stand, walk, stoop, and perform motions for an extended period PPE Safety glasses, hearing protection, and safety shoes at all times while on the production floor. Safety This position expects to adhere to all safety rules to include the use of all require protective personal equipment (PPE). Specifically, eye and hearing protection must be worn at all times while in the production floor. Work Environment Organization Structure/Career Progression The work environment characteristics described below are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job: Non-air-conditioned environments; hazardous materials such paints, stains and solvents; machinery, conveyors, spray-booths and drying racks.
