Job Description:
Nexus Refrigeration is currently seeking an experienced Drafter to work out of our Norfolk, VA office. This position will focus on the engineering, design, and safety compliance of large scale industrial refrigeration systems which primarily use ammonia as the refrigerant. Most of our clients are found in the food and beverage industry ranging from large distribution to processing, blast freezing, and cold storage warehousing. Industrial refrigeration, and especially ammonia refrigeration, is a stable, thriving industry. The need for refrigeration has increased year over year for the last 50 years and is predicted to maintain that trend for many years to come. This is an exciting opportunity to join our company and be part of our growing team, working very closely with the owners on a daily basis.
We are seeking a skilled Drafter to join our talented engineering team. The ideal candidate will have experience in CAD software and possess a strong mechanical engineering background. As a Drafter, you will be responsible for creating technical drawings and plans based on specifications provided by engineers.
Duties:
- Utilize CAD software to create detailed drawings for mechanical designs
- Collaborate with engineers and architects to understand project requirements
- Ensure drawings adhere to industry codes and standards
- Revise drawings based on feedback from team members
- Assist in the development of 2D animations for design presentations
- Familiarity with software such as Creo, Bluebeam, Revit, and AutoCAD
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in CAD software
- Strong mechanical knowledge
- Experience in REVIT
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $27.00 per hour
