Description

The Drafter is responsible for creating technical drawings and specifications for products and machinery used in the manufacturing process. General Responsibilities • Develops precise drawings and prints for manufacturing equipment, tools, and products based on the specifications provided by engineers and product designers. • Utilizes computer-aided design (CAD) software to create, modify, and update technical drawings and schematics. • Creates detailed assembly instructions and diagrams to guide the manufacturing process, ensuring all parts and components fit together correctly. • Works closely with mechanical engineers, industrial designers, and other professionals to ensure that designs are accurate and meet project specifications. • Includes detailed information on materials, finishes, and manufacturing processes in the drawings to ensure that production teams have all the necessary information. • Verifies that the final product meets the design specifications and quality standards by conducting quality checks and inspections. • Maintains detailed records of all design changes and revisions to ensure accurate documentation and traceability. Experience / Qualifications • Relevant work experience or knowledge of the role • Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands • Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results • Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) BS in Electrical Engineering (or closely related field) with 2 years above related experience is highly preferred. 2 years or above of experience and proficiency using PCB layout tools such as Protel/ Altium or OrCAD (Mentor Graphics is preferred). Familiarity with PCB design guideline and manufacturing spec are preferred. Has some knowledge of analog and digital circuit design, EMC knowledge. Good English language written skills.
