Description Sterling ATM, based in Salt Lake City, Utah, is a national leader in manufacturing custom ATM enclosures, signage, and branding solutions for financial institutions across the country. We are seeking a detail-oriented Drafter to create, review, and improve technical drawings for our ATM and trailer manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will collaborate with engineering and production teams to establish and maintain drawing standards, ensuring clarity and accuracy for shop floor operators. This role requires proficiency in SolidWorks for drafting and simple design work, with the opportunity to grow into a Design Engineering position. Key Responsibilities: Produce new technical drawings and update legacy prints to current standards. Review and refine existing drawings for accuracy, manufacturability, and compliance with company standards. Work closely with Engineering and Production teams to develop and enforce drafting best practices. Ensure all drawings include proper dimensions, tolerances, weld symbols, and assembly notes for seamless fabrication. Assist with simple design tasks in SolidWorks under the guidance of engineers. Maintain organized documentation and revision control for all drawings. Support production by resolving drawing discrepancies and providing clarifications as needed. Requirements Proficiency in SolidWorks (2D drafting & basic 3D modeling required). Experience with mechanical drafting standards (ANSI/ASME Y14.5 preferred). Ability to interpret engineering sketches and translate them into detailed drawings. Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and manufacturability. Basic knowledge of sheet metal, welding, and fabrication processes (a plus). Familiarity with ERP/PLM systems for document control (preferred but not required). Willingness to learn and grow into a Design Engineer role.
