PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
To be considered for this position, you have completed a Technical program in a related field (approved courses in drafting or graphics, survey principles, or property law) or an acceptable equivalent. A solid working knowledge of mapping techniques (as it applies to property mapping) is essential. A working knowledge of Provincial Statutes (Land Registration Act, Registry Act, Municipal Government Act) relating to real property is also required. Completion of courses in computer/windows operating systems, computer software used in the digital mapping updating process is also important. In addition, you possess excellent communications skills, the ability to interact with people in a professional manner with a customer-focused approach and you are a collaborative team player. You also have excellent communication skills, attention to detail with superior analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Direct knowledge of the LIN-NS and IASWorld databases, additional education/experience in software, and the handling and maintaining of files contained in a map library will be considered definite assets. A working knowledge of Departmental programs and related legislation, and/or experience working in a legal setting (with title searching) as well as bilingualism in French and English would be considered assets.
