DRAFTING CHECKER

Location: Tulsa, OK
Pay Rate: $25.00+ per hour (DOE)
Shift: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced Drafting Checker to join our team in Tulsa, OK. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in reviewing 3D models and 2D drawings to ensure accuracy and quality. This role requires proficiency in Inventor and AutoCAD, as well as expertise in steel fabrication and design. Knowledge of fired heaters, boilers, and heat exchangers is essential, as you will be assisting drafters in the design and verification process.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of drafting experience in a fabrication environment.
  • Software Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of Inventor and AutoCAD is required.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of steel fabrication and design; experience with fired heaters, boilers, or heat exchangers is necessary.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to handle complex projects while maintaining high accuracy and quality.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Time Management: Highly organized, able to prioritize tasks, and work efficiently under tight deadlines.
Responsibilities
  • Drawing & Model Review: Examine fabrication drawings for compliance with company standards and ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with engineers and drafting teams to maintain company design standards.
  • 3D & 2D Drafting: Develop 3D models and 2D fabrication drawings using Inventor and AutoCAD.
  • Bill of Materials (BOM): Generate and maintain accurate BOMs for production needs.
  • Documentation: Create various documentation and deliverables required for fabrication.
  • Redrafting & Revisions: Modify and refine designs based on feedback from the engineering team.
  • Problem Identification: Identify and communicate design concerns to ensure structural integrity and compliance.
