Job Overview Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, as the Drafting Technician you are responsible for providing support throughout the design, construction, and close-out of projects, including multi-family, residential, and commercial projects. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include: * Preparing drawings accurately and consistently with project specifications and requirements, including construction drawing sets, sales and marketing drawings, and preliminary site planning. * Supporting the Project Manager throughout the project tender process, and completing building permit applications. * Establishing standardized drafting practices, details and templates for CAD drawings. * Qualifying materials required for projects and processing purchase orders. * Maintaining accurate and up-to-date record-keeping system, including pricing and product information. * Providing administrative support to other projects or duties as assigned. Essential Requirements * Post-secondary education or certificate in Drafting, Computer Aided Design (CAD), Auto CAD Technician or related field. * Proficiency with AutoCAD is required. * Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, Team, SharePoint and PowerPoint). * Valid driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle. * Satisfactory verification of criminal record check. Preferred Qualifications * Prior drafting experience would be an asset. Responsibilities
