JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a skilled Material Engineer, Architecture, Civil with proven experience in fit-out and joinery materials.
The ideal candidate should have knowledge of materials such as gypsum, flooring, joinery components, wall finishes, ceiling systems, FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment), and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) fixtures.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Materials Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
  • Minimum 4-6 years of hands-on experience in fit-out and joinery materials.
  • Strong knowledge of fit-out and joinery materials such as gypsum, flooring, joinery, wall finishes, ceiling systems, FF&E, and MEP fixtures.
  • Familiarity with international standards (e.g., ASTM, BS, ISO) and local authority requirements.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and document management systems (e.g., Aconex, Procore).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Graduate in Material, Architecture, Civil Engineer or a related Field.
  • Experience working in the UAE is added advantage.

Responsibilities
  • Review and evaluate material submittals for compliance with project specifications and client requirements.
  • Coordinate with design consultants, procurement, and suppliers for material samples, documentation, and approvals.
  • Prepare and maintain a material submittal log and track approvals and deliveries.
  • Support QA/QC during material inspections and ensure delivered materials match approved submittals.
  • Verify compliance certificates. technical data sheets. Test reports (acoustic, fire, moisture, etc.), and warranties.
  • Recommend alternative materials for value engineering, ensuring quality and cost effectiveness.
  • Stay updated on new materials, trends, and market availability relevant to interior design and fit-out.
  • Support QA/QC during material inspections and ensure delivered materials match approved submittals.
