We are a local Structural Engineering firm in Lakeland in need of a person proficient in AutoCAD, with previous experience in drafting both residential and commercial construction documents. Being familiar with the Florida Building Code a plus along with having general construction knowledge.
- Should have working knowledge in AutoCAD
- Construction knowledge would be beneficial
- Must have strong communication skills
-Responsible for producing conceptual design through construction documents
- Additions, Remodels, and New Construction both residential and commercial projects
-Modify existing plans as-needed
-Make client- requested revisions in a timely manner
-Communicate with customers to provide job status updates and timeline expectations
-Participate in weekly job update meetings
- Meet with customers to discuss project requirements as needed during typical business hours
Minimum Requirements:
-Working knowledge of blueprints/construction documents and building codes. (Preferred but not required).
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD
- Strong communication skills required
- Ability to work on multiple projects
- Strong organization skills
- High attention to detail
- Time management and problem- solving skills, sense of urgency, creativeness and flexibility all preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
