About the opportunity:

The Production Drafter is part of the Arden Homes Drafting team and reports to the Drafting Manager. The key focus of this role is to prepare accurate drawings within specified timeframes in line with the customer’s requests and company standards. More specifically, you will:

  • Accurately prepare draft sales plans, final sales plans, working drawings and contract plans that incorporates house siting’s, floor plans, elevations, internal drawings, plumbing and slab layouts with a focus on quality and meeting expected timeframes.
  • Efficiently interact with multiple internal stakeholders including sales consultants, estimators, colour selection consultants and compliance teams to address technical issues and manage deadlines
  • Production of working construction drawings including reviews and corrections
  • Problem solving construction and drafting related matters
  • Identification of ways to streamline our processes

  • Tertiary education in relevant field, including Bachelors, Diploma or Tafe certificate in design and drafting.
  • Experience within relevant software application, Autocad, ArchiCAD - essential
  • Experience working in a residential home construction and producing drawings
  • Knowledge of current codes, regulations and construction practices
  • A keen eye for detail and strong time management
  • Team focus, and strong communication skills to build solid relationships
  • Demonstrate an innovative approach to solving problems
  • Experience working in a residential home construction and producing drawings is highly regarde
