Boulanger Industrial Group has been providing trusted overhead crane, control, millwright, welding and rigging solutions and services to Canada’s National Capital Region for over 30 years.
We are currently seeking a Draftsperson to join our dynamic team.
We are looking for a self-motivated draftsperson who can work alongside several specialists at our company. To be successful as a draftsperson, you should stay up to date with new drafting software and advancements. An exceptional draftsperson will demonstrate impeccable attention to detail and have sound knowledge of the discipline they draft for.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2+ years experience utilizing CAD software
  • Extensive knowledge of AutoCAD Inventor.
  • Make decisions based on designs.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to collaborate with others to solve problems.
  • Firm grasp of mathematics, engineering, and industry information.
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • An abundance of patience to see a complicated project to the end
  • Ability to think in a three-dimensional manner

    Pay: $40,000.00-$60,000.00 per year

Responsibilities
  • Use AutoCAD Inventor software to create detailed 2D and 3D designs for complex projects.
  • Attend regular development meetings
  • Incorporate feedback into 3D model designs
  • Make revisions to models as requested
  • Run simulations and stress-tests on all 3D models
  • Complete documentation packages and produce drawing sets based on current project and team needs
  • Check and verify design drawings to conform to specifications and design data
  • Ensure clients’ needs are met in a timely and cost effective manner
  • Keep up to date on all modern advancement in material and software technologies
  • Utilize large databases of material property information to best select materials for modelling
  • Collaborate with others to establish timelines and budgets, as well as solve problems.
  • Ability to analyze data and situation and come up with creative solutions.
