Drainage and Plumbing Engineer
Firstly, we are looking for an ambitious, highly motivated, and keen individual to join our team of Drainage / Plumbing Engineers. Applicant must be hard working and have a flexible approach to their working day. As we carry out a large range of services your role will be to attend, identify and rectify any problems or find the necessary remedy.

SKILLS AND INTERESTS - TO BE A DRAINAGE / PLUMBING ENGINEERS YOU SHOULD:

Entry and Training– If successful, you will be offered a permanent position.
Plumbing knowledge is essential and you will be taught in most aspects of the basic drainage profession. You will be expected to be able to carry out basic unblocks solely within 1-2 weeks. We would love for you to progress, and for you to continue to show a steady progression and demonstrate high motivation towards the job.
Hours of work to begin with are – Monday to Friday, 7.45am – 5pm. We are a 24hr company so can sometimes be late finishes depending on late incoming calls and location of calls, or early starts, depending on destination.
After 1-2 weeks training in the drainage unblocks you will be placed on a rota system to cover emergency plumbing works and unblocks, therefore you must be prepared to cover some weekends / evenings / Bank Holidays as per rota.
Job position - will be to cover all the North Wales, Wirral & Cheshire as part of a team. Example areas which we cover are Wrexham, Chester, Caernarfon, Bangor, Anglesey. Good navigational skills and map reading skills are necessary.
Job duties will be – bathroom installations, wet rooms, pumps and valves, showers, tiling, small plastering works, central heating installations, power flush, radiator repairs, burst pipes, Sani flow systems, leaking tanks, working off plans. Clearing blocked drains, blocked toilets, sinks, pipes, CCTV Surveys, maintenance work, cleaning of pits, cleaning & repairing gutters, installing gutters and drainpipes, locating, and repairing underground water leaks and burst water mains, drain excavations and repairs, repairing manholes, excavation work and replacing of drains, and any other duties which will be to the company’s benefit. Most of the work we undertake is a matter of common sense and using your own initiative.
Maintenance - Operatives are responsible for checking vans, high pressure jetting machines and equipment for any faults and carrying out general maintenance i.e., checking oil, water and diesel measures are correct, tyre tread depths, etc. Also maintaining plant and tools, high pressure hoses and lifting equipment, and notifying the office when equipment is faulty.
The ability to deal directly with clients is a must and a certain amount of handwriting / maths skills are required as the completion invoices, job sheets and other paperwork is a daily event.
We provide uniforms, safety boots and overalls which must be worn at all times.
