Our Drainage department is looking for a Department Manager to join the team based at the Fulton Hogan office in Alexandra. The role will require you to effectively manage your department ensuring that it is delivering quality work for our clients and our people. As a Department Manager, you will: Oversee pricing of work and preparation of tenders/quotes/estimates. Drive and encourage a collaborative work environment with staff Ensure reports, claims and programmes are prepared and submitted correctly and in a timely manner. Ensure forward planning, organising and ordering of contract subbies/survey/materials/plant/ people. Ensure your department staff are provided with leadership and guidance to maximise performance. We’re looking for someone with: Experience managing and developing teams (preferred) Relevant department knowledge and understanding Clear communication, making sure requests are dealt with promptly and accurately High computer literacy A drive to supply a high level of service regionally while building a team environment Time Management Experience with putting together claims and variations. Previous experience planning and programming workflow Natural leadership and a desire to develop others. Previous experience in Drainage or Civil Engineering preferred although we are able to consider a Contract Manager at either junior, intermediate or senior level, what we are really after is someone driven with the right attitude.
