ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Proficiency in CCTV surveying and WinCan reports.
  • Competence in manual drawing, GPS planning, and drain tracing.

DESIRABLE SKILLS:

  • Experience with interceptor servicing and high-pressure water jetting.
  • Knowledge of patching/relining repairs and pump maintenance.
  • Electrical/Mechanical engineering experience is an advantage.
  • Previous experience in confined entry operations is beneficial.

Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW:

Join our dynamic team at Andel as a Drainage Technician/Pump Engineer, where you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality drainage solutions across the UK. This hands-on role involves executing pre-assigned duties on-site, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Execute allocated tasks, monitor and report project progress against set timescales, keeping the Operations Manager informed of progress and flagging any issues.
  • Conduct site surveys to assist estimators in evaluating potential new projects.
  • Interpret and work from drainage drawings, operating independently in areas of expertise.
  • Review and adhere to project-specific Risk Assessment and Method Statements (RAMS) before commencing work.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring strict compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Attend toolbox talks and maintain open communication with the team.
  • Collaborate with CAD engineers to produce reliable drawings for investigations, amendments, and comprehensive site surveys.
  • Complete all relevant documentation (e.g., Commissioning/Maintenance forms, Site Memos) and promptly submit to the Project Manager or Head Office.
