Te kōwhiringa | The Opportunity  We are seeking an experienced Drainage Site Supervisor to lead the inspection, planning, and delivery of drainage maintenance and repair works across the network. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll work closely with field crews, subcontractors, and clients to ensure works are completed safely, efficiently, and to specification. You’ll play a key role in managing day-to-day operations, maintaining strong client relationships, and driving performance across productivity, quality, and Zero Harm outcomes. Key Responsibilities: Inspection, Planning & Delivery * Inspect drainage networks and CRM cases, identifying and prioritising defects * Plan and allocate work packages to maximise efficiency and performance * Record and manage defects using Pocket RAMM / RAMM Contractor systems * Contribute to project methodologies, budgets, programmes, estimates, and variations Operational & Contract Management * Manage assigned contracts to ensure delivery on time, on budget, and to specification * Set and monitor productivity, quality, and safety targets with crews and subcontractors * Coordinate and oversee subcontractors to ensure compliance with project requirements * Complete accurate documentation, records, and claims within required timeframes * Undertake hands-on work when required to achieve positive outcomes People Leadership & Development * Lead, coach, and develop crews through on-the-job training and mentoring * Support staff capability development, including identifying skill gaps and training needs * Foster a positive, high-performing team culture with a strong safety and quality focus * Communicate clearly and effectively with internal and external stakeholders Client & Stakeholder Management * Build and maintain professional relationships with clients and their representatives * Proactively address issues to ensure client satisfaction and smooth project delivery Health, Safety, Environment & Quality (Zero Harm) * Lead by example and actively promote a Zero Harm culture * Ensure all staff and subcontractors are inducted and compliant with SWMS and HSE requirements * Conduct pre-start checks, crew briefings, and regular HSE audits * Identify and manage operational, safety, environmental, and compliance risks Nga pūkenga matua | Important Skills  You’ll be a confident and practical leader with a strong background in road maintenance and drainage works.
