Description

About Us
KAM Performing Arts Academy CIC is a not-for-profit community organisation dedicated to inspiring and empowering young people through the performing arts. We cover our outgoings (such as venue hire, tutor pay, and project costs) and reinvest any surplus back into the organisation. This ensures opportunities remain affordable, accessible, and community-focused for children and young people in Cheltenham.
Through workshops, courses, and weekly classes, we provide safe and supportive spaces where young people can grow in confidence, creativity, and performance skills.
The Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Drama Tutor to join our growing team. The successful candidate will:

  • Lead weekly drama classes at our Cheltenham Academy (Brooklyn Road)
  • Deliver creative workshops in schools and community venues
  • Provide 1:1 drama coaching for children and young people

You will work with participants aged 4–16, creating inclusive and engaging sessions that nurture creativity, confidence, and self-expression.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver inclusive, engaging drama sessions (weekly classes, workshops, and 1:1s).
  • Support children and young people (ages 4–16) in developing confidence, performance skills, and creativity.
  • Adapt sessions to suit a wide range of abilities and age groups.
  • Work collaboratively with other tutors, artists, and community partners.
  • Ensure safeguarding, health, and safety standards are met at all times.
