JOB DESCRIPTION

Here at Gorilla Design, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Drapes Assistant & Machinist to join our Drapery department. This role demands a strong technical understanding of fabric, pattern drafting, and drapery design with an excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship. Ideal candidate will have a background in theatre, film or events industry.
Location: Bluebell Business Centre, Old Naas Road, Dublin 12

• 4 years of hands-on experience in the industry, with a strong technical background in fabric handling, sewing, and installation.
• Excellent knowledge of sewing machines, tools, equipment, drapery-specific techniques and pattern drafting.
• Work closely with designers, and clients to provide expert advice on fabric choices, drapery functionality, and rigging considerations.
• Maintain and care for sewing equipment, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to machinery.
• Meet high volume manufacture deadlines and production goals.
• Work in a busy warehouse providing laundry services and stock management.
