POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Draw Line Set-up/Operator will set-up and operate all draw line equipment at Omex Manufacturing ULC. The Draw Line Set-up/Operator will operate the equipment safety and consistently while meeting all productivity & quality standards set forth by Omex Manufacturing ULC.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous experience in related role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks repeatedly, including lifting (minimum 50lbs), grabbing, manipulating, bending, and standing for extended periods (up to 8 hours).
  • Record of reliability & dependability (quality, safety & attendance).
  • Analytical, mechanical thinking.
  • Proficient with ShopEdge & Core Documents at an operator level.

Responsibilities

DUTIES OF THE JOB:

  • Set-up and operate all draw line, and associated equipment.
  • Utilize the overhead crane to stage material & coil replacement.
  • Create first-off / last-off parts.
  • Problem solves and/or troubleshoots process issues as they arise.
  • Follow process-specific work instructions and verbal directions to meet production schedules and quality requirements.
  • Complete quality inspections at predetermined intervals using calibrated fixtures and devices.
  • Ensure only quality parts are accepted and notify supervision and quality of any quality related issues immediately.
  • Complete all necessary documentation: machine safety check sheets, validation check sheets, set-up sheets, quality inspections, production reporting, etc.
  • Operate the equipment safely and consistently with the company policies, rules, and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.
