As part of the expansion of our mining operations, we are looking for a Drill & Blast Engineer to join our team. Reporting to the Mine Manager, you will be responsible for designing, planning, and optimizing drilling and blasting operations to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective mining activities. Key Responsibilities: Design drilling and blasting plans in accordance with the mine plan. Define drilling parameters, including burden, spacing, hole depth, diameter, and inclination. Develop explosive loading plans and blast initiation sequences. Supervise drilling, charging, and blasting operations. Optimize rock fragmentation to improve loading, hauling, and crushing performance. Analyze blast results and recommend continuous improvement initiatives. Ensure compliance with HSE standards and regulations governing the handling and use of explosives. Collaborate closely with the Geology, Mine Planning, Production, and Maintenance teams. Monitor explosive consumption and key drilling and blasting performance indicators. Prepare technical reports and monitor operational KPIs. Technical Skills: Expertise in Drill & Blast design and optimization. Planning and coordination of drilling and blasting operations. Design of drilling patterns and blast parameters. Strong knowledge of industrial explosives and charging techniques. Rock fragmentation analysis and optimization. Blast vibration, flyrock, and environmental impact control. Quality control of drilling and blasting activities. Ability to read and interpret mine plans and geological models. Performance monitoring and analysis of blast results, including fragmentation, dilution, ore recovery, and cost optimization. Sound knowledge of both open-pit and underground mining methods. Thorough understanding of HSE standards related to the handling and use of explosives. Preparation of technical reports and production KPI monitoring. Candidate Profile: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mining Engineering, Geological Engineering, or a related discipline. Minimum 5 years of experience in drilling and blasting operations in open-pit and/or underground mining. The position requires geographical mobility within the south-eastern regions of Morocco. Compétences techniques: - Conception et optimisation des plans de forage et de tir (Drill & Blast Design). - Planification des opérations de forage et de minage. - Dimensionnement des mailles de forage et des paramètres de tir. - Connaissance des explosifs industriels et des techniques de chargement. - Analyse et optimisation de la fragmentation des roches. - Réduction des vibrations, des projections et des impacts environnementaux liés aux tirs. - Contrôle de la qualité des opérations de forage et de minage. - Lecture et interprétation des plans miniers et des modèles géologiques. - Suivi des performances des tirs et analyse des indicateurs (fragmentation, dilution, récupération, coûts). - Maîtrise des méthodes d'exploitation à ciel ouvert et/ou souterraine. - Connaissance des normes HSE relatives à la manipulation et à l'utilisation des explosifs. - Élaboration de rapports techniques et suivi des KPI de production. Profil recherché: - Diplôme d'Ingénieur en Génie Minier, Génie Géologique ou équivalent. - Minimum 5 ans d'expérience dans les opérations de forage et de minage en mine à ciel ouvert et/ou souterraine.
