REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Diploma in Heavy Equipment Maintenance, Industrial Mechanics, or Drilling Technology.
  • Experience in drill maintenance and repair, preferably in a mining environment.
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
  • Ability to read technical schematics and diagnose drilling system failures.
  • Underground or Surface Common Core Certification (an asset).
  • Valid driver’s license (Class 5 minimum).
  • Red Seal Certification (an asset).
  • Strong team spirit and adaptability to rotating schedules.
  • Experience in the mining industry (strong asset).

Responsibilities
  • Inspect, maintain, and repair drilling equipment and components used in mining operations.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues on drilling machinery.
  • Perform preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on drills and related equipment.
  • Read and interpret technical schematics, mechanical blueprints, and drilling system manuals.
  • Replace and adjust defective parts to ensure optimal performance.
  • Conduct pre-operational inspections and equipment startup procedures.
  • Work closely with operators to troubleshoot and optimize drilling performance.
  • Ensure a clean and safe work environment at all times.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance and production teams on-site.
