QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

• Over 3 years of experience in civil construction estimating
• Graduate of a recognized post-secondary program related to civil engineering or construction management is an asset
• Experience using estimating software is an asset
• Able to work in a fast-paced construction environment
• Strong organization and communication skills, with the ability to multitask
• Effective attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
• Flexibility to work extended hours when required
• Experience using Microsoft Office programs, most notably Word, Excel & Project.
• Valid BC driver’s license
  C ompensation:
  The role is a permanent, full-time position based out of South Vancouver Island (Victoria or Nanaimo) with a typical salary range of $100K-$120K per annum. The starting salary will be based on the successful candidate’s competencies, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, and experience. • Prepare accurate costs estimates and complete tender package submissions for new projects
• Prepare written proposals for RFP tender opportunities
• Work with our lead estimator to analyze project management trends and forecast crew production rates
• Attend estimating team meetings
• Draft project schedules for tender submissions and to assist project planning
• Attend pre-construction meetings and project handover meetings to communicate the bid plan to the project managers
