Job Details Level: Experienced Job Location: Colorado - Wheat Ridge, CO 80033 Position Type: Full Time Salary Range: $28.00 - $35.00 Hourly Job Shift: Day Reports to Construction Director Location Greeley, CO Salary $28- $35 an hour Non-Exempt- Hourly Drilling Technician Summary/Objective This position involves working with the Construction Director, project managers, and environmental scientists to execute each drilling site. Ensuring the job site is organized, clean and equipment is maintained. Have a safety-conscious attitude and be a team player. This role will require strict adherence to deadlines; therefore, strong time management and communication skills are needed. This role would primarily be based in Colorado with little to no travel. Administrative daily duties include but are not limited to: Timecards DVIR, JSA, Incident Reports, Equipment inspections Effective daily communication with crew and managers Effective communication of equipment needs and servicing requirements. Effective communication of material needs. Effective communication of personnel needs. 2. Field duties include but are not limited to: Operate drill rigs. Work with Supervisors, Superintendent, and managers to meet or exceed daily production goals through planning and productivity of the workforce. Site Safety Foster a positive working relationship with clients and team. Ensure all crew members are fueling, greasing, and conducting repairs on all drill rigs. Ensure that all crew members comply with safety procedures. Ensure all field personnel are using the proper PPE. Must have a collaborative attitude and willingness to perform any work that requires general labor tasks, including hand auguring, shoveling, lifting, etc. Ensure the job site is secure every night. 3. Other responsibilities as assigned. Competencies 1. Must be able to function both in a team and without direct supervision. 2. Communication - written and verbal. 3. Ability to pivot tasks quickly. Supervisory Responsibility This position is not responsible any supervisory responsibilities. Work Environment This job operates in an outside field environment. While working in a field environment, the employee may be exposed to extreme weather conditions, including rain, snow, and rain. Temperatures may be cool, cold, warm, or hot. This role routinely uses PPE and other safety equipment and will encounter contaminated soils. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or listen. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift field sample products and supplies up to 50 pounds and to bend and stand as necessary. Employees must stand on their feet for 2 to 3 hours at a time, several times a day, and be able to walk short distances. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position, and standard hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. Workdays' exact start and end times depend on specific job requirements. Travel Jobs sites, on average, are 1 hour away from company headquarters but maybe as much as 2 hours. Required Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent 2+ years in environmental or geotechnical drilling. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Strong time management skills. Must possess strong communication ability with peers and management. Must be a quick starter. Experience working with State Regulations and related entities. Knowledge of safe ground disturbance practices. Must have CDL A Preferred Education & Experience OSHA 10- Hour Certificate. Hazwoper 40- hour certificate. 5+ years of drilling experience Experience in oil and gas is desired but not required. Knowledge of Environmental remediation. Experience with soil boring classification. Additional Eligibility Qualifications None required. Work Authorization/Security Clearance (if applicable) Employee must be authorized to work in the United States and must possess a valid driver's license.
