JOB DESCRIPTION

The Legal Entity Controller (LEC) team is responsible for the local and corporate books and records of all JPMorgan vehicles in Peru, as well as the control and issuance of financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards, ensuring they reflect the economic reality of the business.
Peru Legal Entity Controller intern will be based in Peru and report and support the Legal Entity Controller team in activities related to financial and regulatory reporting, ensuring accuracy and high quality in the corresponding deliverables. It also supports the implementation of new initiatives and products

REQUIREMENTS

  • Student from Accounting, Administration, Economics career or similar (since 7th cycle)
  • Proficiency in Spanish and English;
  • Proficient in MsExcel and/or MsAccess. Visual Basic knowledge is a plus
  • Knowledge in financial products (derivatives) is a plus
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Experience with automatization tools / data management tools is a plus

Responsibilities
  • Collaborates/Support LEC team with:
  • Internal reports
  • Selected reports to be presented to different regulator (SBS, BCRP, SMV)
  • Update/preparation of SOP’s of the different LEC processes that include local regulatory reports (changes, processes, etc.), UAT processes, invoicing, etc
  • Information request for external/internal auditors or regulator
  • Implementation of new initiatives, products and process automation
  • Other tasks requested by SCBM or LEC team
  • Responsible to
  • include rates and counterparties in the system daily
  • track regulatory reports prepared and submitted during month end
  • track JIRA’s opened
  • Analyzes and participates in the implementation of regulatory changes
