Description
Able to integrate new driveline systems and driveline features into existing and future electric vehicle architectures. Provide technical driveline system support throughout all phases of the vehicle program to ensure robust program execution and performance Work with program team to understand the required functional and physical properties of a driveline system Ensure linkage to system DFMEA and manufacturing PFEMA Work with Tier 1 supplier and Vehicle Engineering and vehicle controls team to ensure system / subsystem interfaces delivery Identifies, tracks and resolves engineering issues Manage commodity controls/SW engineering sign off Support program launches Established and active employee resource groups Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field Minimum of 5+ years of professional experience in automotive system engineering, focusing on powertrain or driveline systems 2+ years of proven experience with Electric Vehicle (EV) powertrains, including PDUs / SDUs / eBeams, high-voltage battery interfaces, and thermal management strategies Strong knowledge of driveline mechanics, including gears, differentials, and axle assemblies Familiarity with control systems and calibration for driveline/powertrain applications Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build relationships with all functions and levels across the organization Prior experience in Automotive industry, working with cross functional team to develop new technology Knowledge of Driveline systems / EV system PPAP experience Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification Work with cross-functional teams, collaborate and effectively communicate within your development team Must be able to work with global cross functional team for issue resolution Component test experience with bench and / or dyno Vehicle system level test experience for electro-mechanical modules Ability to multi-task effectively on projects and assignments
