About the role
At The Salvation Army Kingston, we’re more than just a place — we’re a community dedicated to sharing love, care, and hope. We’re seeking a Driver and Maintenance Worker to help maintain our facility and grounds, ensuring that everyone who comes through our doors feels safe, supported, and valued.
Reporting to the local church leader (Corps Officer), this is a permanent part-time position, 5 hours per week, based in Kingston City located in Dingley Village, VIC.
Compensation is in accordance with the Miscellaneous Award Level 2.

You will successfully

  • Drive our Salvation Army vehicle to safely transport groups around the community
  • Perform essential repairs and maintenance, keeping our space safe and inviting
  • Keep our grounds neat and hazard-free, championing workplace health and safety
  • Support the Corps Officer by identifying and addressing any safety concerns
  • Manage supplies and tools responsibly, ensuring everything is ready for use

You will have

  • Reliability and be a trustworthy team player who lives with integrity and compassion
  • Capability to handle maintenance tasks with care and safety in mind
  • Experience or a willingness to learn about facility upkeep, risk management, and chemical handling
  • A current Driver’s Licence
