Description Job Summary: Driver Associates efficiently deliver our products to our customer accounts in a courteous, professional, compliant, safe and timely manner. Drivers use a multitude of methods including manual lifting, dumping, and/or moffett unloading in multi-temperature environments. Supervisory Responsibilities: None Essential Job Functions: Delivers lumber, hardware and building materials to customer’s job site; Reloads pickups of lumber, hardware and building materials onto truck from job site and returns them to lumberyard; Inspects truck before and after trips and submits report indicating truck condition; Assists workers in loading and unloading trucks; Inspects delivered products for quality and damaged appearance at time of delivery; Ensures all shipping documents and receipts are properly completed; Maintains driver log according to state and federal regulations; Uses straps to secure cargo during transit; Maintains good company image by presenting a clean and neat appearance while delivering merchandise to customers; Assists customers and stocks merchandise consisting of lumber and building materials when not on deliveries; Stacks lumber in yard or in shed; Builds loads; Performs other duties as required Requirements Required Skills and Abilities: Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to speak professionally and courteously with customers and staff at delivery points. Ability to remain focused in busy environment. Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED At least two year related experience. MO Class E or KS Class C Driver's License Safety Requirements: Wears high visibility, safety PPE, and proper uniform Performs daily vehicle inspections Safely operates equipment Promptly report all accidents/incidents and damaged products Report any malfunctioning equipment We are EOE/M/F/V/D and pre-employment drug test required.
