Position Summary We are seeking a dedicated CDL B Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating company vehicles to transport and deliver building materials to customers and job sites in a timely and professional manner. You will be a key representative of SBSI, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service while upholding our unwavering commitment to safety, reliability, and professionalism. Key Responsibilities Safe and Professional Driving: Operate a CDL B commercial vehicle (flatbed, box truck, or boom truck) to deliver building materials to customer locations and job sites. Adhere to all DOT regulations, company policies, and safety procedures. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance. Safely load, secure, and unload materials to prevent damage during transit. Customer Service Excellence: Serve as a professional and courteous ambassador for SBSI, ensuring positive customer interactions. Confirm delivery details with customers upon arrival and obtain proper documentation (signatures, invoices, receipts). Address customer inquiries or concerns professionally and communicate any issues to the dispatch team. Operational Efficiency & Teamwork: Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and trip logs. Assist in warehouse operations when necessary, including loading/unloading trucks and organizing materials. Work collaboratively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and sales teams to ensure smooth delivery schedules. Requirements Qualifications & Requirements Valid CDL B license with a clean driving record. Minimum of 1-2 years of commercial driving experience, preferably in the building materials or construction industry. Knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices. Ability to operate a forklift, Moffett, or boom truck (training available if needed). Strong attention to safety protocols, road conditions, and vehicle maintenance. Excellent customer service skills with a professional and friendly demeanor. Ability to lift 50-100 lbs and handle physical labor as needed.
