QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/JOB REQUIREMENTS (ABOUT YOU):

  • 1-year experience in a warehouse environment preferred
  • High school diploma required
  • College Diploma an asset
  • Material handling equipment experience is an asset
  • Basic proficiency with MS Excel, Word and Outlook

Responsibilities

ROLE:

Reporting to the Inventory Control Manager, this position is responsible for receiving delivery associates back into the warehouse, processing paperwork and customer returns.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure customer credits are coded correctly.
  • Verify and ensure all returned product is scanned and returned to stock daily.
  • Communicate with various departments (Transportation, Warehouse, Credit, Inventory/QA) to ensure proper procedures and policies are being adhered to.
  • Ensure all route bags are sorted daily and all the driver’s paperwork is verified for accuracy and completeness.
  • Inspect all items upon return to insure the items are compliant following our corporate driven food safety guidelines and credit returns policies.
  • Complies with Sysco’s Food Safety Policy and procedures to ensure food safety, quality and legality requirements are met.
  • Is willing to work safely with minimal environmental impact and understands the importance of reporting all hazards, incidents, and environmental spills immediately to their Supervisor.
  • Understands that they play an integral role in their own safety and that of their colleagues and is willing to speak out when hazards are present.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
