If you’re ready to take the next step in your career, CEDA has opportunities for you! Job Description CEDA is currently seeking a Class 1- 45 Ton Picker Operator for our Bonnyville, AB location. Candidates must live local to the Bonnyville area. What We Offer: $46.00 per hour! Hours will vary based on location and scope of job, lots of opportunity for over time Local work in Bonnyville region with camp deployment as required Variety: changing work scopes from one day to the next – there is always a new challenge Be a part of a true team. Our work is difficult but we get it done safely and with great people Key Duties & Responsibilities: Operate and maintain picker trucks and/or boom trucks Haul, load, and off-load equipment Understand and obey all provincial and federal highway rules and regulations Ensure equipment meets operation and safety requirements Practice proper legal load securement Take part in all safety meetings Operate company vehicles and equipment in a professional, safe and courteous manner Complete required paperwork for unit pre-trip, inspections, job reports, log book and safety documents Strictly observe and enforce all company and client safety requirements Work as part of a team and follow direction from supervision Qualifications: Valid class 1 licence – (with clean 5 year driver's abstract) Picker Truck / Journeyman Boom operator Certification required Driving is in your nature, you will pass CEDA’s driver assessment with flying colours Minimum 3 years of experience operating a 45 ton picker truck Must have a valid H2S Alive certificate and CSO Able to provide a negative result on a pre-employment drug and alcohol test, at a CEDA booked appointment Able to travel throughout Alberta and Saskatchewan (flexibility in schedule is required) Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude You are safety focused when it comes to people and equipment Perform physically demanding work (able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis) Enjoy working outdoors in various weather conditions Able to plan and organize tasks meeting deadlines with high performance You have the ability to work well in a team, share a laugh with your coworkers and get the job done safely Additional Information The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.
