OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Class A Driver/ Shipping Department Helper to join our team. This role is essential in the safe and efficient delivery of freight between our two facilities as well as some local pickups and deliveries. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well in a team environment. You will also assist in loading and unloading cargo, ensuring that all deliveries are completed accurately and on time.

EXPERIENCE

• Previous experience in Driving a Class A vehicle+ freight handling or logistics
• Familiarity with commercial driving regulations is a must
• Experience operating heavy equipment or forklifts.
• Basic knowledge of automotive repair can be beneficial for minor vehicle maintenance tasks
• Strong physical stamina to handle the demands of lifting and moving heavy items

• Driving along with loading and unloading freight from truck
• Ensure that all cargo is secured properly for transportation
• Navigate routes during deliveries
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the vehicle
• Communicate effectively with supervisor and coworkers to ensure smooth operations
• Perform basic inspections of equipment and vehicles before departure
• Operate forklifts or other heavy equipment as needed (training may be provided)
