This role involves operating heavy-duty trucks to transport products to various locations while adhering to all safety regulations and company policies. The driver will be responsible for maintaining accurate delivery records and ensuring that all cargo is secured properly. Additionally, the position requires effective communication with dispatchers and customers to coordinate delivery schedules and address any issues that may arise. Ultimately, the success of this role contributes significantly to the overall efficiency and reliability of the supply chain operations. Minimum Qualifications: * Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL). * Minimum of 2 years of driving experience with a clean driving record. * Ability to pass a background check and drug screening. Preferred Qualifications: * Experience in the wholesale trade or logistics industry. * Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELDs) and route planning software. Responsibilities: * Operate Class A vehicles to transport goods to designated locations in a safe and timely manner. * Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. * Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery times. * Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. * Adhere to all local, state, and federal transportation regulations and company policies. Skills: The required skills for this position include strong driving abilities and a thorough understanding of safety regulations, which are essential for operating heavy vehicles safely. Effective communication skills are necessary for interacting with dispatchers and customers, ensuring that all parties are informed and any issues are promptly addressed. Attention to detail is critical for maintaining accurate delivery logs and conducting vehicle inspections.
