Description SUMMARY: Wayne Tile is looking for an experience class B driver to assist our operations. A typical work day will include loading, unloading, and delivering supplies and materials to customers in an accurate and timely manner; efficiently and safely transporting, sorting, and stocking materials. As the last point of contact our customers have with Wayne Tile, they must always act in a professional, friendly and helpful manner. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Primary responsibilities include delivering wholesale orders to customers in the tri state area. Occasionally fills in for retail deliveries driving a flatbed and Moffett. Contacts customers to notify of estimated delivery time. Leaves messages and answers return calls to provide customers with excellent service. Performs simple vehicle maintenance; cleaning interior of vehicle, checking lights, checking tires, filling fluids, scheduling routine maintenance to keep vehicle running properly. Observes all traffic laws and posted speed limits. Delivers goods to clients. Interacts with the customer in a professional manner. Collects required signatures for payment, proof of delivery, and gives a receipt to customer. Returns all required documentation to appropriate company official. Observes no smoking in delivery vehicle. Maintains a neat, clean personal appearance. Must get all pertinent information if involved in an accident and inform appropriate company official. Unloads vehicle after completing delivery runs. Performs other related duties as assigned by management. Requirements · Three to five years related experience or equivalent. · Familiarity with delivery practices and handling methods. · Must have a valid Class B CDL driver’s license (or higher) · Ability to work with minimal supervision. · Commitment to excellence and high standards · Excellent written and oral communication skills · Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills · Ability to manage priorities and workflow · Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing · priorities with enthusiasm · Acute attention to detail · Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines · Strong interpersonal skills. · Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
