OVERVIEW

We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Driver to join our team.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety and customer service, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods.
This role requires a person 25+ as the vehicles are on a fleet insurance, excellent communication skills and the ability to Drive a van and be able to lift heavy goods (25kg).
As a Driver, you will play a crucial role in our logistics operations, contributing to the smooth running of our warehouse activities.
The days will be Sunday, Wednesday and Thursday and Occasional Mondays if necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred.
  • Valid driving licence with a clean driving record; commercial driving experience is an advantage.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Mechanical knowledge for basic vehicle maintenance tasks is desirable.
  • Experience driving a van
  • A commitment to safety and attention to detail.
    Job Type: Full-time
    Pay: £12.21-£12.50 per hour

Responsibilities
  • Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport goods to designated locations.
  • Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and requirements.
  • Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Load and unload goods from the vehicle, ensuring proper handling and securing of items.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
  • Assist with warehouse duties as needed, including inventory management and organisation of stock.
  • Demonstrate mechanical knowledge by performing basic maintenance on vehicles when necessary.
  • Dealing with cash, when delivering or purchasing goods.
  • Sunday work is essential
