  Job Title: Non-DOT and DOT Class C Driver / Event Installer / Trainer Location: Chicago, IL – Onsite Job Description: The Driver/Event Installer operates company vehicles to transport staff, décor, and equipment to events, clients, vendors, and venues. They are responsible for loading, unloading, and setting up or striking event décor. Essential Duties | What You’ll Do:   * Drives company vehicles to transport staff, décor, and equipment to events, clients, vendors, and venues on schedule. * Ensures timely pick-ups, deliveries, and vehicle loading/unloading. * Secures cargo according to safety guidelines to prevent injury, damage, and breakage. * Follows all federal and state transportation regulations (USDOT, FMCSA, IDOT). * Ensures vehicle and passenger safety, parking legally, and securing vehicles properly. * Completes USDOT/FMSCA driving logs and vehicle inspections accurately and on time. * Reports vehicle performance issues and maintains vehicle cleanliness. * Loads, unloads, and transports props, furniture, and décor to and from events. * Assembles, installs, and uninstalls décor items such as bars, furniture, backdrops, and lighting fixtures. * Works carefully to minimize damage, ensures event venues are clean and damage-free. * Returns items to proper storage locations.     Requirements:   * Must be 21 years of age. * 2-4 years of driving experience preferred. * Up to 1 year of event set-up experience preferred. * Ability to understand, read and speak English. * Valid Illinois Drivers’ License required. * CDL license preferred.  * Knowledge of USDOT and FMSCA requirements is helpful. * Proof of clean driving record required. * Strong knowledge of safe vehicle usage and Illinois rules of the road required. * Ability to interpret pull sheets. * Familiarity with proper packing methods is helpful.     Pay & Benefits | What You’ll Receive * Overtime pay will be provided for hours worked beyond 40 in a workweek at 1.5x the regular rate of pay, in compliance with Illinois labor laws. * Health Insurance: Medical, dental, and vision insurance options available for full-time. * Retirement Plan: 401(k) plan with company matching. * Paid Time Off (PTO): In compliance with Illinois State Law. * Training & Development: Opportunities for skill development and career advancement.
