POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated Driver to join our Family Reunification Program. This position plays a crucial role in facilitating supervised visits between children and their parents, working alongside Family Social Workers to support family connections and healing.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • Experience working with young children
  • Trauma awareness and understanding
  • Ability to work effectively with families with complex needs
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including nurses, speech pathologists, social workers, psychologists, and teachers

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Willingness to drive BrightStar Respite vehicles
  • Commitment to maintaining vehicle logs and cleanliness standards
  • Flexibility to attend required training sessions
Responsibilities
  • Transport children to supervised visits with their parents
  • Work collaboratively with Family Social Workers during visits
  • Operate BrightStar Respite vehicles safely and responsibly
  • Maintain accurate mileage logs and vehicle cleanliness
  • Ensure proper installation and use of car seats/booster seats appropriate for each child’s age and developmental needs
  • Participate in BrightStar Respite training and professional development sessions
