Description POSITION SUMMARY: The truck driver position is responsible driving trucks or tractor-trailers for collection services to ensure that various materials are transported and disposed of in an appropriate manner. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: · Operate heavy commercial trucks, tractor-trailers (including tankers) · Perform required pre-trip & post trip inspections and provides required reports · Provide outstanding customer service during delivery and pickup operations · Maintain and follows all required certifications and safety policies required by DOT, OSHA and company safety programs · Maintain various records and/or logs as needed per DOT Regulations · Perform preventive maintenance on vehicles or informs Driver Lead of maintenance items needing scheduling · Wash, lubricate and fuel vehicles · Pick recyclable materials from incoming loads · Carry out site grounds maintenance including; picking litter, mowing, weed whipping, street sweeping, plowing and dust control. · Perform building and other stationary equipment maintenance · Assist in landfill operations in addition or absence of other qualified operators Requirements 1. Have a valid Minnesota CDL Class A driver’s license 2. Ability to pass a DOT physical and maintain a valid health card and license 3. Ability to lift up 100 pounds 4. Driver must be 21 years old per DOT.
