Driver/Transporter Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm The Driver for PACE will be responsible for providing safe and timely transportation of participants to and from their homes, outside medical appointments, the day center and clinic. This position will also be responsible for the general oversight of the PACE vehicles which include pre and post day inspections, fueling, and cleaning.  This role requires flexibility and the ability to adapt to changing schedules, passenger needs, and traffic conditions while maintaining professionalism and composure.   What is PACE? PACE or Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly is a federal and state funded program that provides comprehensive, coordinated, and proactive whole-person care to help maintain and improve seniors' health so they can live safely in their homes. There are 180 PACE programs, serving more than 80,700 participants in 33 states. The number of people aged 55+ is increasing in Grand Junction, CO and the demand for eldercare professionals is on the rise. What You Bring: * High School Diploma or equivalent required. * 1-2 years driving experience required, professional driving experience transporting older adults or individuals using mobility devices preferred. * Must meet and maintain eligibility under the HopeWest driving requirement policy and motor vehicle insurance. * Valid Colorado driver's license maintained throughout employment. * Current or must obtain Passenger Service and Safety (PASS) maintained throughout employment. * CPR certification is maintained throughout employment. * Must meet HopeWests motor vehicle insurance eligibility requirements, including minimum age as determined by the insurance carrier. * Defensive driving or other applicable certification preferred. * Adequate computer skills and experience with Microsoft office products. * Effectively and respectfully communicate both verbally and in writing in a multitude of situations and settings, including highly emotional interactions. * Effectively work with and build relationships with others. * Ability to perform under pressure while maintaining safety standards. * Ability to adapt quickly to schedule changes, route adjustments, traffic delays, and unexpected passenger needs. * Working knowledge of multiple types of assistive devices.
