When the driver is not out on route, they will be expected to perform other Direct Support Professional duties, which include but are not limited to assisting our clients with personal hygiene, toileting, feeding, dressing and any other activities of daily living. Responsibilities Overview: Comply with all DOT regulations and local laws relating to operation of a vehicle. Drive large capacity vehicles in order to provide transportation to individuals living in the home to/from training center, medical appointments, home visits and any community outing. Assists every resident to enter and exit the Van safely using Quest approved loading and unloading procedures. Ensures all clients are properly secured via seatbelts and tie downs. Ensures pre and post trip inspections are completed accurately and thoroughly. Responsible for van maintenance (i.e., keeps van tank full of gasoline, maintains a clean interior and exterior of the van at all times, etc.) Reports any mechanical problems immediately to the Director of the Facility and Director of Fleet. Pre-heats or pre-cools Van to ensure our residents’ comfort. Follows all the rules and regulations of the road. Reports any accidents or incidents, which may occur regarding the Van and the transportation of the residents. Qualifications Required: 21 years of age or older High School Diploma 3+ years of Direct Support experience including operating large capacity vehicles (10-12 passenger vans and wheelchair buses) Valid FL Driver’s License with a clean driving record and safe driving skills Van lift and adaptive equipment (wheelchairs, scooters, walkers, etc.) Able to work in the US and not require Visa Sponsorship from our company now or in the future Quest, Inc. is a drug free workplace and an Equal Opportunity Employer.
