Including transport of participants, meals, durable medical equipment, pharmacy, and any other transportation as deemed necessary. Responsible for overall cleanliness and safety of the vehicle assigned on a daily basis. Responsible for communicating any safety issue to the Transportation Coordinator. Education - High School Diploma or GED. Experience- Minimum of one (1) year experience working with the frail and elderly population preferred. If not met, willingness to train on the complexities of serving a frail and elderly population is required. Other Requirement(s) - Valid WA State Driver’s License with a clean driving record and proof of insurance. Current DOT Medical Card for non-CDL commercial drivers. Able to pass a driving competency test demonstrating safe operation of company vehicles. Must have active CPR and First Aid Certification within 1 month of hire. Transportation Service hours are Monday- Friday 7:00am- 5:00pm 40 hours per week
Responsibilities
The Driver is responsible for the safe and timely transportation of Healthy Aging and Wellness Program participants, including transporting participants, meals, durable medical equipment, and pharmacy items as directed by the Transportation Coordinator. This role also requires maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the assigned vehicle daily and reporting any safety issues.
