OVERVIEW

DSI LTD is a company based in Mirfield, West Yorkshire. We manufacture aluminium shopfronts and supply and install automatic doors. We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver/Labourer to join our team. This role requires excellent communication skills and a commitment to safety and efficiency in transporting goods and assisting the fabrication team in the workshop. We cover sites all over the UK.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Valid, clean commercial driving licence
  • Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar driving role.
  • Previous warehouse experience is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently while adhering to schedules.
    Job Type: Full-time
    Pay: £12.35-£12.45 per hour
    Expected hours: 40 per week

Responsibilities
  • Safely operate vehicles for the delivery of goods to and from designated locations.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
  • Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of items during transit.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel usage, and delivery times.
  • Assisting with stock take
  • Clearing up and keeping workshop tidy.
  • Taping up aluminium framework
  • Assisting with fabrication of aluminium framework
  • Communicate effectively with workshop staff and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Demonstrate mechanical knowledge by performing basic maintenance on vehicles as needed.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road.
