OVERVIEW

We are seeking a full clean driving licence, reliable and skilled Driver to join our team Farm Fencing LTD. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in commercial driving, with experience in delivery driving. This role involves transporting goods safely, as well as lifting materials. Doing this efficiently while ensuring excellent communication with both clients and yard staff.
A flatbed driving experience is preferred, as well as the ability to navigate various routes effectively.

EXPERIENCE

• Proven experience as a commercial driver with a clean valid driving licence appropriate for the vehicle type.
• Previous delivery driver experience is essential, with a strong understanding of logistics and route planning.
• Mechanical knowledge is advantageous for troubleshooting minor vehicle issues on the road.
• Experience operating flatbed vehicles is preferred.
• Strong communication skills are necessary for effective interaction with clients and team members.

• Load and unload cargo, ensuring that all items are secured properly for transport.
• Conduct routine inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition, reporting any mechanical issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs and records of mileage, fuel consumption, and maintenance activities.
• Communicate effectively with yard staff and clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
• Assist in yard duties as needed, including inventory management and organisation of goods.
