POSITION SUMMARY – DRIVER / LOGISTICS ASSOCIATE

Headlands Brewing is a small brewery based in Contra Costa County, and we are looking to add a passionate and committed driver / logistics associate to our team. Reporting to our Director of Sales & Operations, this position is primarily responsible for helping to efficiently and effectively coordinate and execute deliveries to & from our brewery and distributor partners, as well as our three taprooms in the Bay Area. It’s a part-time “roll up your sleeves and get it done” role, with the potential to grow into support for the production team. We are growing fast, and that is creating many opportunities to expand our roles and responsibilities.

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be 21 years or older
  • Clean Driving Record
  • Certified to drive a forklift
  • Ability to think on your feet and adapt to the demands of an ever changing day
  • Capable of moving ~160lb kegs of beer regularly
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Follow written and verbal instructions
  • Able to consistently work safely and efficiently
Responsibilities
  • Loading/delivering beer to our taprooms (weekly), and occasional “hot shot” order delivery to distributors
  • Order building, loading/fulfillment, and shipping finished beer to fulfill distributor orders
  • Assist with inbound and outbound shipping and organization of inventory at our Pittsburg brewery
  • Uploading and organizing signed BOLs and paperwork from receipts & shipments
  • Organizing finished goods, packaging materials, raw materials & brewing equipment
  • Support production with packaging operations; canning off-pack, keg cleaning, keg filling, etc.
  • Support events at our Lafayette location, as well as off-site beer festivals and other similar events (as needed)
  • Support and maintain a clean and tidy facility through best practices and end of day housekeeping tasks
