PURPOSE OF POSITION: A Driver, Mobile Unit at Catholic Charities: Coordinates dispatch of truck and delivers good to designated location safely, timely and within all food service and organization safety standards. Loads and unloads food and/or good at designated sites. Ensures all products are stored properly at the sites as well as maintaining the proper paperwork. Maintains required logs and receipts accurately and timely at the facility where food and good are needed. Reports to the Warehouse supervisor for additional daily tasks in the warehouse. Promotes and adheres to Catholic Charities’ vision, mission, values and Code of Ethics. Reflects Catholic Charities commitment to treating all persons with dignity and respect. Maintains confidentiality of client and agency information. Regular and predictable attendance. Any other tasks or duties as assigned. OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Good steward of Agency human, financial and capital resources. Participates effectively as a team member through communication, cooperation, information sharing and problem solving. Can work efficiently and courteously with volunteers, participants and staff. Participates in all staff trainings and programs as required. Requirements QUALIFICATIONS Must have a valid Colorado Driver’s license and a clean driving record. Ability to drive delivery truck and box truck. Must be able to drive a fork lift and obtain certification required by OSHA. Must be able to pass a physical before employment. Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills Flexibility and willingness to quickly shift priorities as needed. Ability to effectively lead and motivate staff through application of Agency values Intermediate knowledge of computers to input information, maintain client and program data, create and generate reports, and create communications. Knowledge of the service population’s cultural and socioeconomic characteristics and the appropriate techniques and practices for the client population. Ability to interact effectively as a team member and independently with Agency staff and with a diverse client base. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Valid CO driver’s license, satisfactory driving record and proof of insurance required.
