Description Description Position Title: Non-Emergency Medical Transport Driver Location: Primary- Southeast Indiana Responsibilities include: • Drives PME vehicle to transport eligible Medicaid/Medicare members to and from medical appointments. • Perform assigned daily transports in safe and timely manner • Complete all paperwork required for transportation services • Complete a daily inspection of assigned vehicle before start of the day. • Driver must be courteous, patient, and professional at all times, as well as neat and clean in appearance per the driver handbook. Position is driving a company car that will be kept at employee's house for individuals' appointments and comes with a gas card. Work hours: Monday – Friday, Hours will vary according to assigned route (could start as early as 4:30am) Pay: $15.00 Benefits: • Position comes with option to take health, dental, vision insurance • PTO after 90 days • 8 Paid Holidays Requirements Skills and abilities: • Ability to work independently • Show up to work in a timely manner • Take work orders from supervisor for client trip • Drive clients to their destinations on time • Assist clients as they get into and out of the vehicle • Report back to the supervisor when clients have been dropped off at their destination • Report traffic delays en route back to supervisor • Report any incidents or accidents to the supervisor Experience/Education Requirements: • High School Diploma or equivalent; 1 year company driver or transportation preferred
Responsibilities
The driver is responsible for safely transporting Medicaid/Medicare members to and from medical appointments in a company vehicle. They must also perform daily vehicle inspections and maintain accurate transportation paperwork.
