Description Summary of Position The primary responsibility of the driver is to help meet the equipment needs of customers by delivering and picking up equipment in a timely, safe and courteous manner as well as operate a variety of construction rental equipment. Essential Functions Performing loading and delivery of equipment to various locations, including delivering and return of trailer and skid mounted blow out preventers, power swivel units, tubular goods and fishing and rental tools. Deliver tools to vendors for repairs and pick-up repaired tools Deliver fuel to units in the field as required. Perform inspection on assigned vehicle and trailers needed to deliver equipment safely on public roadways, ensuring all trailers meet DOT specifications Maintain driver logs and post trip and pre-trip inspection sheets daily before leaving the yard or location. Completing equipment return sheet when assigned to return equipment to a location/yard and obtaining “sign-off” by the tool control coordinate verifying the receipt of the returned equipment. Maintain truck equipment/Inventory Perform any other duties as assigned by management within his/her capabilities. Ability to sit for long periods of time Ability to lift up to 120 lbs (less than 33% of time) Ability to ascend/descend into truck cab approximately 60” above ground Ability to ascend/descend stairs 8” in height at comfortable pace. Requirements Skills/Qualifications High school diploma, GED or equivalent Must be at least 21 years of age Previous driving experience preferred, but not required Must be willing and able to pass a pre-employment physical which includes drug and alcohol testing. Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record Must be willing and able to pass a background screening check
