Join our Tauranga team as an Asphalt Driver Operator in the Bay of Plenty. We’re looking for dedicated individuals with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality. You will be responsible for general tasks, assisting and supporting our asphalt crew across the Bay of Plenty Region and beyond. Your daily activities will involve the correct recording of plant, labour, and materials in accordance with company procedures. You will undertake daily vehicle and machinery checks and complete the necessary maintenance. You’ll support the crew by operating asphalt-related plant and trucks. Flexibility is a must, as you will be required to work up to 12 hours per day when we are busy, with a minimum of 8 hours per day. You may also be required to work periods of night shift. Weekly hours will range from a minimum of 40 hours (Monday to Friday) up to a maximum of 70 hours. The work will involve stay aways for extended periods of time. In addition to the above you will: Operate and maintain asphalt machinery, trucks and associated equipment to ensure high-quality road surfaces. Work collaboratively with a skilled team to complete projects efficiently and on schedule. Ensure adherence to safety protocols and industry standards at all times. We’re looking for someone with: Experience operating road construction machinery and equipment, ideally within asphalt or similar surfacing operations. Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high quality work. Ability to work effectively in a team, demonstrate reliability, strong communication skills, and a proactive attitude. Class 2–5, WTR and DG licenses desirable. Good understanding of safety protocols and industry standards, ensuring a safe and compliant work environment.
