The PACE Driver is responsible for providing safe transportation to participants in a timely, competent manner and communicating information, relevant to the plan of care, with the interdisciplinary team (IDT). This position reports directly to the PACE Transport Supervisor. PACE drivers are required to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary, to provide service to frail elderly participants according to assigned responsibilities and (PACE Program) standards. The PACE Driver is critical for setting the tone and experience expected by each participant on trips to the center and external appointments. The PACE Driver has direct interaction with caregivers and contracted partners while conducting business on behalf of the Franciscan Senior Health and Wellness (FSHW) Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) program. The PACE program’s vision is to provide individualized and joyful care through exemplary teamwork, serving as many seniors as possible with the best quality-of-life in their communities. PACE offers seniors and their families the care, nutrition, rehabilitation, transportation, and supportive services they need to remain healthy so that they can live in their own home.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma/GED - Required
  • 1 year Experience with a frail or elderly population - Required
  • 1 year Experience in a PACE program - Preferred
  • 1 year Transportation Experience- Preferred
  • Driver’s License - Required
  • Auto Insurance - Required
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)- American Heart Association - Required
